Huoh. Mutta ehkä sitten kun ne on tehty? Tai edes osa niistä on tehty. Jos vain osaisin päättää, mistä näistä aloittaisin.

PS. Niin ja sitten on myös ne ihan omat ideat, joita pitäisi päästä kokeilemaan käytännössä. Saisinkohan jostain apurahaa, joka mahdollistaisi kokopäiväneulojaksi ryhtymisen

There's too many lovely knitting patterns in the world! I'd like to start knitting at least ten new ones at the moment. The only thing that holds me back is the list I just wrote of my UFOs and custom orders: 12 things. Sigh. But maybe when those are done? Or at least few of them are done. If I only knew which one of these to make first.

PS. I also have lots of knitting ideas on my own I'd have to test in practice. Is there any institution I could get a fellowship for full-time knitting?

Se on täällä taas. Pimeys.

Joka vuosi tähän aikaan alkaa tuntua siltä, ettei valoa ole koskaan riittävästi. Ei sisällä eikä ulkona. Vaikka kuinka olisi asunnon kaikki valot päällä, se ei vaan riitä. Talven myötä tunne vain pahenee, ja joulun jälkeen alan jättää jonkun lampun yöksikin päälle, koska en halua herätä täyteen pimeyteen.

Selasin Etsystä valoisia asioita. Jos vaikka jollain pienellä idealla olisi suuri valovoima ja piristävä vaikutus. Luulen, että kokeilen oman version tekemistä ainakin viimeisestä. Ja jos sinulla on hyviä ideoita helpoista ja halvoista askartelukeinoista valaistuksen lisäämiseksi, vinkkaa pliis!

It's here again. Darkness.

Every year around this time it begins to feel like there never were enough light. Neither inside nor outside the house. Even if I switched on all the lights in the apartment, it's not enough. During the winter this feeling gets worse and after Christmas I usually start leaving some light on overnight, cause I don't want to wake up to total darkness.

I searched Etsy for luminous things. On the off-change of some little idea brighting up my darkness. I'm quit sure I'm gonna make my own version of the last one. Do you have any ideas of easy, cheap lightning DIYs? If yes, please share!

En ole koskaan ollut suuri harmaan ystävä.

Jollakin tavalla se on aina tuntunut liian värittömältä ja laimealta.

Sitten törmäsin tähän kuvaan

ja juutuin tuijottamaan harmaiden lankojen ihania sävyjä.

Yht'äkkiä tuntui, että on pakko saada

elämään harmaata.

Nyt minunkin puikoillani on valmistumassa jotain harmaata,

pehmeää ja lämmintä.

Erilaista kuin nämä langat, mutta

juuri minulle sopivaa.

I've never been that big fan of grey.

Somehow it has felt too lame and colourless.

And then I stumbled upon this picture

and couldn't stop staring the different shades of grey

in the yarn basket. Suddenly grey felt like a must-have.

Now there's something grey, soft and warm in progress,

on my needles.

Not similar to yarns in this picture,

but something perfect for me.
