Kun ei ole pitkään aikaan päivittänyt, kynnys kasvaa äkkiä suuremmaksi. Tuntuu, että pitäisi esitellä jotain hienoa, että kehtaa suunsa avata. No, tämä ei ole hienoa, eikä edes luovaa. Teitä on varoitettu. Mutta luvataan nyt samalla, että jotain omasta mielestäni erikoisempaa ilmestyy huomenna. Tänään ei ollut aikaa kuvata sinä pienenä valoisana kaistaleena, joka aamun ja illan väliin jäi.

Kaulakoru (kuva 1) on tehty pikkuveljelleni. Hän ei tosin tiedä sitä vielä, sillä se on vasta kirjekuoressa matkalla kohti oikeaa osoitetta. Veli sai nimittäin joululahjaksi kitaran, ja siitä syystä minä jouduin eilen ensimmäistä kertaa elämässäni ostamaan plektran. Se oli yllättävän hankalaa sillä vaihtoehtoja oli ihan liikaa. Ja koska värikkäät muovinpalat kiehtovat aina, piti tietenkin ostaa muutama myös korutarkoituksiin. Luomisprosessin jatkumista odottelevat vielä kaksi punaista ja kaksi läpinäkyvää lärpäkettä. Niistä tulee ehkä jonain päivänä korvakorut, tai sitten jotain ihan muuta.

Pillikorvakoruista (kuva 2) olin haaveillut pidemmän aikaa. Kirkkaanvihreät pillit on ostettu Lontoon Camdenista ja muutettu korvakoruiksi vaihtamalla avainrenkaan tilalle korvakorukoukku. Koruntekoa helpoimmillaan. Seuraavaksi suuntaan energiani tuunaukseen ja vaihdan alennusvillatakkiini iloisemmat napit.


Simple and Green

From now on it will be possible to read this blog in English as well. This is one of my New year resolutions and probably the easiest one to keep. So if you are a new reader and wonder what happens here: this is a craft blog. It includes all kind of crafty projects and haberdashery things seasoned with my long not-alwas-so-related explanations. Mostly jewelry and other accessories, but other things as well. Welcome to read this, and please leave comments whenever you feel like it. I don't believe I'm gonna translate the old texts into English soon, so if you are interested in something you see among my earlier posts and can't read the text, just email me and I'm gonna tell you more.

So, the green necklace (pic 1) is made of a plectrum I bought when I went to a music store to buy some for my brother. He got a guitar for Christmas, and when he grows up he's gonna be a super star guitarist with the coolest band in the world. Well, everything after the comma is creation of my imagination, but anyway, i wish all the best for him and his guitar. Cause plectrums were so nice and colorful, I bought some for jewelry purposes as well. I already sent this one for my brother, so he had one plectrum he can't loose that easily.

Green earrings (pic 2) are made of plastic whistles bought from Camden market in London. I just replaced the key rings with hooks, and tsadam, that was it. Simple. Quick. And green.
